2.6.38.5 e precedenti sempre perfetti su tre macchine

dal 2.6.38.6 succede sporadicamente questo:
Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception in interrupt
macchina bloccata, ultima ratio interruttore di rete, in generis riparte

2.6.38.6 succede due volte su una sola macchina
2.6.39-ck1 succede su tutte e tre le macchine e spesso
2.6.38.7 succede su una macchina, quattrro volte interruttore di seguito necessario

ho rimesso su tutte e tre 2.6.38.5, testando ognuna con 5 volte
Ctrl-Alt-Del, cinque boot perfetti

Qualcuno ha fatto esperienze simili?

Io con il 2.6.38.6 e il 2.6.39 ho problemi sporadici al boot e allo shutdown.
A volte lo shutdown non avviene. Rimane lo schermo nero con il cursore lampeggiante. Premendo il pulsante power sul PC parte lo shutdown, ma non viene visualizzato nulla sul monitor.
Col kernel stabile della Slack, non succede.
Non ho provato col 2.6.38.5.

Mio feedback:
kernel 2.6.38.6 e 2.6.38.7 provati sia su sistema AMD con Chipset SB600 ,che su intel core 2 duo chipset santarosa (965?) ,entrambi con schede video Nvidia ,ZERO problemi.QUASI noiosi

Ho appena ricompilato il 2.6.39 con il mio config del 2.6.38 ed effettivamente c'è qualche problema; al primo boot si è piantato con il messaggio:

e a quanto pare non capita solo a me:

Al secondo boot nessun problema e tutte le periferiche sembrano funzionare correttamente.

Messo il kernel di oggi linux-3.0, perfetto anche con le pennine USB.
Le 3 macchine reagiscono esattamente come con 2.6.38.5.

Se e` perfetto significa che il bug e` stato risolto, a questo punto ignorerei la cosa

Una cosa che non capisco è perché si dice che il kernel 3.0 è stato rilasciato quando non compare come "latest stable kernel". Ho letto che è stato trovato all'ultimo momento un brutto bug che ne ha posticipato il rilascio.

Una cosa che non capisco è perché si dice che il kernel 3.0 è stato rilasciato quando non compare come "latest stable kernel". Ho letto che è stato trovato all'ultimo momento un brutto bug che ne ha posticipato il rilascio.

Probabilmente lo script non e` stato aggiornato con i 3.0 e sta ancora cercando nella directory sbagliata, il 3.0 e` uscito ed e` l'ultima stable.
