[Risolto] Syslog enorme

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware64 postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti che trattano la Slackware32 o generali... per quelli usate rispettivamente il forum Slackware e Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware64 usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Slackware64, se l'argomento è Slackware32 o generale usate rispettivamente il forum Slackware o Gnu/Linux in genere.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

Salve a tutti, ho notato che il file /var/log/syslog cresce esponenzialmente fino a saturare lo spazio, l'ho cancellato tre giorni fa ed a desso è di nuovo 58 GB.... Con la vecchia versione di slackware non avevo questo problema (usavo una 13.0).

Prova a postare un pezzo del log, magari qualche parte in cui ripete più volte lo adesso warning o error..... perché presumo che un log che fa 58 GB in 3 giorni non sia pulito pulito

Mi sa che i log gli hanno bloccato il pc

Guarda sarei quasi contento in codesto caso, ma purtroppo sono la mia compagna ed il lavoro che mi bloccano di più :D :D
Prova a postare un pezzo del log, magari qualche parte in cui ripete più volte lo adesso warning o error..... perché presumo che un log che fa 58 GB in 3 giorni non sia pulito pulito

In effetti ci sono divesi error e warning comunque il log enorme lo avevo con il kernel di default, questo lo ottengo con il 3.18.1 (ma ho mantenuto la configurazione dell'huge di default)

Sì, in effetti hai qualche errorino e qualche warning, ma nulla di trascendentale. Quindi hai risolto cambiando il kernel? nei log vecchi che tipo di errori ti metteva?

Allora gli errori del vecchio log erano legati molto probabilmente (dato che da buon rincoglionito l'ho cancellato e provato a riavviare il sistema...) al montaggio di due partizioni ntfs, il problema non era il kernel ovviamente ma colpa mia che ho fatto del casino con fstab al momento dell'installazione (sono abituato a montare le partizioni su /mnt invece che su /media)... abbiate pazienza l'Alzheimer precoce! #-o
