nvidia xorg blocco driver nuovi appena installati ( helpme!)

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata e la versione del Kernel. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Citare il tipo di hardware coinvolto in modo dettagliato.

6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

ciao a tutti son riuscito ad installare per la prima volta i driver slackware ver:NVIDIA-Linux-x86-173.14.20-pkg1

per una nvidia 5200 zotac versione bus pci, con i driver generici nvidia di slackware 12.2 kernel 2.6.27.7 huge non smp

essendo installato su una cpu pentium 200 mhz mmx, il driver generici va!

appena installo nvidia driver ufficiale xorg rimane bloccato schermata nera trattino nero in altro...

per fortuna non ho una auto startx e quindi posso modificare il tutto a piacere!

nel syslog noto questo errore : NVRM: CPU does not support the PAT, falling back to MTRRs

poi dopo ce fuse init (api version 7.9)

altri errori chiari non ne trovo!

da cosa può dipendere il problema ?

non mi venite a dire che e troppo obsoleta la macchina :idea: , visto che con nvidia generici va! dovrebbe andare anche con gli ufficiali!

da dove dipende il problema ? spero mi aiutate a più presto!

Come hai settato il tuo xorg.conf?

Dopo aver installato i driver nvidia, hai anche lanciato:

?

Se no, puoi fare un backup dell'attuale xorg.conf, e poi provare a lanciare il comando nvdia-xconfig

Along with your hardware, please paste those :
- your X configuration in use
- entire X log file (possibly /var/log/Xorg.0.log)
- Nvidia driver installation log

xorg config xorg config cancellando quello vecchio e lanciando il tool nvidia (
xorg config by deleting the old one and running the toll nvidia )
