Usate questo forum per richieste di aiuto e consigli sull'hardware montato nelle vostre macchine con GNU/Linux Slackware.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata e la versione del Kernel. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Citare il tipo di hardware coinvolto in modo dettagliato.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute

Ok, ora posso ufficialmente dire che anche io non so cosa ci sia che non va (ma, da buon programmatore, mi riservo il fatto che è molto tardi: non si dica mai che mi arrendo) :lol: .

Non è che davvero hai due schede di rete e tu hai attaccato il cavo a quella sbagliata, no? Perché non capisco come mai udev rinomini la scheda da eth0 a eth1 (anche se, anche questo non vuol dire nulla).

Altra prova che puoi fare è questa:

così abbiamo un quadro completo della situazione.

è vero è tardi ma ancora non tanto per confondere due shede di cui una integrata e l'altra PCI :D ,
anche io mi chiedo perchè UDEV rinomini questa scheda?????? :-k

ho fatto la prova che mi hai indicato , questi i risultati, sono un po lunghi.

Ma quindi hai davvero due schede di rete? No, perché se è così devi provare subito a spostare il cavo.

Dopo aver eliminato l'impossibile, ciò che resta, per improbabile che sia, deve essere la verità (cit.).

Si ho due shede di rete , ma ripeto la prima quella integrata nella sheda madre, è disabilitata dalla BIOS.
Ad ogni modo questa prova è stata già fatta , il risultato è che entrambe le schede sono riconosciute ,
ma non hanno un link, ho disabilitato la prima scheda per ridurre il problema.
Se vuoi posso abilitare la scheda e possiamo provare insieme le varie opzioni.
Posso anche smontare la sheda PCI(nuova di negozio) e lasciare solo la scheda integrata.
Non so ,io credo che lavorando su una scheda alla volta il problema si riduca.

Come mai hai acquistato una nuova scheda di rete? "Solo" perché l'altra non ti andava?

Comunque, ora vado a nanna, il sonno porta buoni consigli. Domani, magari, qualcuno ci illuminerà :)

P.S. Comunque, non serviva disabilitarne una via BIOS. Può essere che udev si sia fatto una regola perché si "è accorto" che hai due schede. Controlla se hai il file

questo pc era stato buttato nella spazzatura, ho comprato una scheda di rete "solo" perchè trovandomi nella situazione che ti ho
presentato pensavo fosse un problema dell'hardware(niente di più facile ,tu che dici ;) ).

contiene le due regole per le schede di rete, ma sembrano corrette , comunque è questo:

ho provato anche a cancellarlo per far si che venisse riscritto , ma niente cambiamenti, anche io penso che sia un
problema di UDEV ma non so come funziona.

Se non altro, abbiamo capito come mai udev ti rinomina l'interfaccia:

la regola "NAME=eth1" fa proprio questo.

Ma quindi fammi capire, il problema potrebbe anche essere hardware?

Non lo so , resta il fatto che la sheda PCI è nuova di negozio, mentre non conosco le sorti di quella integrata.
Ho comprato questa perchè dopo tante prove ho pensato ad un problema hardware.
Sono a lavoro, stasera avrò più tempo

e proverò a risolvere il rename della sheda seguendo questo wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Udev_(Italiano)

pensi che possa servire? :?

leggendo bene il wiki che ho linkato, il problema del rename viene risolto da versioni recenti di UDEV attraverso lo sript:

a questo punto non so cosa pensare , :?: :?: :?: :?: :?: tranne che mi abbiano venduto una scheda rotta :doubt: , ma rimane il fatto che la scheda viene riconosciuta dal sitema e posta fra i dispositivi da UDEV .
Qualcuno ha lo stesso problema ????

Qualcuno sa forse se il driver 8139too ha bisogno di un firmware come diceva Emanuele?

Ma il rename a che ti serve? Di certo non è quello il problema. Basta che metti 'NAME=eth0' alla prima scheda e 'NAME=eth1' alla seconda.

Il tuo problema è un altro. Però anche l'output del driver dopo modprobe sembra ok. Non riesco proprio a capire. Scheda recente su PC vecchio? Boh, è troppo strano che non ti funzionino entrambe le schede. Una passi, ma due :doubt:

Non lo so !!!!
a questo punto l'unica cosa che rimane è accertarsi che il driver sia quello giusto.
Anche a me suona strano che una scheda di rete, venga vista dal sistema, ma sia rotta(caso di quella integrata).
Ma mi suona ancora più strano che una scheda appena comprata e che si comporta come la prima sia rotta anch'essa.

faccio un po di ricerche riguardo al driver , e vi faccio sapere.

Ciao ho fatto un po di ricerche , ho trovato qualcuno che consiglia di mettere il driver 8139 built-in invece che come modulo nel kernel.
Pensate che ricompilare il kernel possa aiutare?...
Non ho mai ricompilato il kernel per questo chiedo un vostro consiglio

prova con un comando in console usato nelle live: pppoe-setup,e vedi cosa salta fuori,
