Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata e la versione del Kernel. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.

ops, avevo visto che l'ultima era la 1.50

quella impostazione mi ero dimenticato di dirla (metti che ogni volta devo rebootare, provare, scrivermi le cose, rebootare, scriverle su google e su slacky, tranne quelle volte che scrivo con lo smartphone che non e' proprio il massimo).

Si, l'avevo provata e non funzionava.

Pero' poi ci ho ripensato... l'avevo provata con un altro disco (e si, perche' tra i componenti da provare ci sono ancora due dischi, di cui entrambi hanno problemi).

L'ho riprovato ora e funziona!!!!!
Adesso ci sono altre prove da fare con questo disco.

Bene, ora ho tre dischi da 80, questo e due ide, tutti e tre funzionanti, devo testare le performance.


Veniamo agli altri (credo entrambi irrecuperabili).
640gb wd6400aaks; questo ci mette tanto a cercarlo e poi non lo vede (ma devo fare altre prove). dopo il timeout riesco a caricare linux e vedo al dmesg che ci riprova, fallendo.
questo e' quello con cui avevo provato la modalita' raid. A suo tempo era montato su un box usb. E' possibile che abbia preso qualche botta, ma a me sembra piu' un problema di circuiti che di meccanica.

l'ultimo e' quello montato dentro questo computer dalla nascita.
maxtor STM3250310AS da 250g, prejumperato a 1.5G
il proprietario precedente lamentava frequenti blocchi di windows. poi ha cambiato computer e mi ha dato tutto a me.
ci ho messo linux e lamentavo anche io frequenti blocchi. ho notato errori tipo ext4 journaling, e andava in readonly come quando non viene piu' visto, ma con il rootfs dentro l'unica cosa che si poteva vedere era il blocco del sistema. Ora che il rootfs e' altrove posso fare altro troubleshooting quando succede un evento, ma ancora non l'ho riconnesso (per non aggiungere entropia al disco da 80).

dopo di questo giuro che i pezzi da testare sono terminati e devo solo decidere cosa buttare al secchio e cosa tenere.
Anche se anche la scheda video credo che abbia qualche problema, ma questa me la vedo con molta calma. peccato che ne ho buttate un po' poco tempo fa!!!!!!

ho ancora qualche DIMM, SIMM, 486, un floppy da 8 pollici (il floppy, non il lettore) e qualcos'altro :D, che sono anni che mia madre dice che devo buttare!

Ah in modalità raid funziona anche senza jumper... ci passa da solo a 1.5g

Alla fine sono stato costretto a chiudere tutto, quindi per ora il disco da 640 l'ho lasciato fuori; dentro ci sono 2 dischi da 80 ide, uno da 80 sata, uno da 250 sata. Il sistema lo vede correttamente, e per ora tanto basta. scoprirò poi se è usabile.


il pc A e B (i due che supportano ddr2) li ho buttati. mi sono solo tenuto il processore bruciato come souvenir. L'ho pulito e finalmente si legge cos'è

Cavolo... il disco da 80 che ero riuscito a far funzionare scalda e va in hang. lo vedo da smartctl.
Sono destinato ad usare i due dischi ide (almeno per il rootfs e la home) o aspettare l'inverno ;)

Ok, non c'entra niente.

Il fatto che il sistema si blocca perché il fs va in readonly non regge, allora ho pensato plausibile che si blocca se la swap messa sullo stesso disco non risponde.
Oggi è crollato pure quello.

Poco fa, computer appena acceso (quindi freddo), fatto partire l'instraller di slackware64 current, sistema frezzato mentre sceglievo il layout della tastiera, quindi prima di accedere ai dischi veramente.

Non può essere problemi di temperatura.


Edit. Aggiungo che quando si blocca, la tastiera funziona, nel senso che se premo capslock la spia si accende, ma il sistema non reagisce.
