Touchpad su compaq nw8000

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Citare il modello preciso del laptop in questione.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

ciao a tutti, ho installato con successo la slackware 10.2 sul mio portatile e leggendo un po qui sul forum un po in giro per la rete ho provato vari settaggi di xorg ma nn vi e stato verso di farlo funzionare nemmeno con questo http://www.tt-solutions.com/vz/hardware/hpnw8000/#mouse
chi mi puo aiutare??

ok sono riuscito a farlo funzionare mettendo i driver synaptic ma il touchpad ora funziona solo se c'e' il mouse usb inserito, altrimenti X non lo trova e non parte..
questo e' il mio xorg.conf:

ok ho letto in giro che il driver synaptic non funziona se e' attivo gpm..
ma se disabilito gpm funziona il mio mouse usb??? e come si fa a disabilitare gpm?

Della serie si faccia una domanda e si dia una risposta.
Che kernel usi?
Io col 2.6.18 ho abilitato udev e rimosso hotplug e mi funzionano touchpad e mouse usb indipendentemente uno dall'altro. La configurazione dei mouse mi sembra corretta, magari sta sera la confronto con la mia

Ehm...veramente no. Però passerei ad un kernel 2.6.x, i driver synaptics non funzionano proprio bene bene bene col 2.4.x
