Sono nuovo di Slackware, ma vengo da due anni di Debian, un'idea sui sistemi GNU/Linux me la sono fatta...
Mi trovo alla prese con una GeForce 6600 GT 256MB su una Slackware 13 appena installata (giusto ieri!); i passi per installare i relativi driver sono stati:
1) scaricare i driver proprietari (NVIDIA-Linux-x86-169.12-pkg1.run)
2) dare i permessi di esecuzione al file sopra
3) eseguirlo!
come del resto riportato su S4D (mi sto aggrappando a quella guida e a questo forum, per i miei primi passi in Slackware). Purtroppo l'installazione fallisce; il file di log relativo riporta:

Cercando sul forum ottengo qualcosa come 5000 risultati, purtroppo quelli che ho visto non mi hanno aiutato, quindi scusatemi se apro un thread relativo ad un argomento gia' esistente.
E scusatemi anche la domanda forse stupida che ho fatto ma non so proprio dove mettere le mani.
