RISOLTO condivisione samba da salix

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Per evitare confusione prego inserire in questo forum solo topic che riguardano appunto Slackware, se l'argomento è generale usate il forum Gnu/Linux in genere.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute.

Premetto che è la prima volta che metto mano a samba.
Sto provando a condividere una directory e la stampante del computer fisso, con kde 12.1, con un portatile con salix13.37
questo è il samba conf che ho usato

Con Windows 7 vedo la directory e riesco a scriverci, da linux usando dolphin, arrivo a vedere MIGROUP ma quando ci clicco sopra non apre la directory e dopo poco mi dice tempo scaduto.
Per la stampante non ci ho capito nulla, in salix l'unica utiliti per installare la stampante è il solito localhost:631 col quale riesco ad installare una stampante locale ma per il resto poco ci capisco.
Esiste qualcosaltro per navigare le directory di samba e installare una stampante condivisa sotto saslix?

per navigare tra le directory io mi trovo benissimo con mc, che non da mai problemi. per la stampante hai provato cups ?

Il portatile lo usa mia moglie e non è non sa nemmeno cosa è mc, cups lo uso normalmente ed è quello con cui ho tentato di installare la stampante condivisa.
Quello che mi fa rabbia che da windows la directory condivisa, con quel samba.conf, si vede mentre da linux usando dolphin non mi fa entrare
Ho provato mc e funziona ma assolutamente inadatto all'uso della consorte
Perchè sto dolphin non riesce a navigare nella directory condivisa se da windows e da mc si riesce?

Quasi finito:

da utente normale digitate nel terminale:
chmod 755 /etc/rc.d/rc.samba
/etc/rc.d/rc.samba start
Cosa significa aggiungere il vostro utente a samba
"da utente normale " presumo,volessi dire da utente root

per navigare tra le directory condivise samba autorizza degli utenti, metti il tuo (quello con cui ti logghi, posso immaginare sia "pino" o qualcosa del genere): se metti una password (che è quella nuova che dai a samba per autorizzarti) con smbpasswd in realtà automaticamente autorizzi anche il tuo user ...
il comando è:
smbpasswd -a pino + invio

Ora la condivisione file funziona
Ho usato hostnames un programmini già installato su salix li ho messo l'indirizzo del ip e il nome host del server, cosi dolphin apre la dir condivisa.
Quello che non riesco a fare è usare la stampante via samba.
Queste sono le stringhe di smb.conf riguardanti la stampante

Qualche anima buona può spiegarmi passo passo come si installa una stampante su un client samba

magari semplicemente non hai installato i driver? che stampante è? sembra una HP? hai aggiornato hplip? i driver devono essere installati anche sul pc "ricevente" (quello che fisicamente non è connesso alla stampante) non solo sul principale...

Grazie mille per la pazienza
Seguendo le tue indicazioni l'installazione, apparentemente va a buon fine ma quando lancio il test page ricevo questo messaggio "recuperabile: l'host del network '192.168.2.2' è occupato; riprovo fra 5 secondi..."
la stampante è una samsung e il drive l'ho già usato altre volte
il link sotto le tue istruzioni parla di una stampante collegata ad una porta usb del ruter, porta che il mio ruter non ha

con cups le impostazioni le dai tu, se la stampante è accesa, pronta e condivisa dovrebbe rilevarla... io ci son sempre riuscito senza problemi...
