Problema mouse USB

Se avete problemi con l'installazione e la configurazione di Slackware postate qui. Non usate questo forum per argomenti generali... per quelli usate Gnu/Linux in genere.

Regole del forum

Problema mouse USB

Salve a tutti!
Sono abbastanza nubbio sul mondo linux in generale ma mi affascina moltissimo e sia per esigenze lavorative che didattiche stò pian piano aumentando le mie conoscenza.
Sono ormai 15 giorni che sono in fissa con un problema che non riesco a risolvere nemmeno googlando.
Ho questo portatile un poco datado su cui è stata installata (non da me) una 13.37 con gnome il tutto funziona egreggiamente se non che colelgando un mouse USB di qualsiasi marca e modello questo viene riconosciuto ma muovendolo fisicamente il puntatore resta immobile o si sposta di pochi cm, in più vorrei disattivare definitivamente il touchpad che funziona con synaptics (questa cosa mi sarebbe utlie anche su altri pc).
Ho cercato anche qua sul forum ma trovo solamente su come disattivare il tap temporaneamente o cose comunque temporanee.
Se qualcuno saprà almeno indicarmi la strada gliene sarò eternamente grato!
Mi scuso in anticipo se per caso non sono stato ababstanza abile nella ricerca precedente.

Come prima cosa ti consiglierei di passare ad una 13.37 perché il server X è cambiato molto dalla 13. Che ne dici?

Allora prova a fare così. Prima stacchi il mouse, quindi dai:

Xorg.conf non c'è ma c'è Xorg.0.log suppongo sia analogo.

beh, dai log non sembra proprio una 13.37, ma una 13.1 :)
naturalmente questo non c'entra niente con il tuo problema, il mouse deve funzionare sempre. E' per caso un mouse wireless?

Guarda per la versione a me è stato detto che era una 13.37 però non avendolo installato io a questo punto mi vengono dei dubbi.
In ogni caso il mouse mon è wireless e in più ho già provato con altri mouse pensando inizialmente ad un difetto hardware
