[b]problemi con l'ACPI[/b]

Regole del forum
1) Citare sempre la versione di Slackware usata, la versione del Kernel e magari anche la versione della libreria coinvolta. Questi dati aiutano le persone che possono rispondere.
2) Citare il modello preciso del laptop in questione.
3) Leggere attentamente le risposte ricevute
4) Scrivere i messaggi con il colore di default, evitare altri colori.
5) Scrivere in Italiano o in Inglese, se possibile grammaticalmente corretto, evitate stili di scrittura poco chiari, quindi nessuna abbreviazione tipo telegramma o scrittura stile SMS o CHAT.
6) Appena registrati è consigliato presentarsi nel forum dedicato.

La non osservanza delle regole porta a provvedimenti di vari tipo da parte dello staff, in particolare la non osservanza della regola 5 porta alla cancellazione del post e alla segnalazione dell'utente. In caso di recidività l'utente rischia il ban temporaneo.

Eppure con la Slack 10.1 non ho avuto nessun tipo di problema...

Ciao a tutti,
mi unisco qui perché anche io ho lo stesso problema.
Ho installato la 10.2, scegliendo l'immagine bareacpi.i e kernel standar, quindi 2.4.31 e KDE.
Con questo kernel non alcun tipo di problema: l'icona della carica batteria viene visualizzato correttamente e funziona anche da pannello di controllo.
Compilato, invece, il 2.6.13.2, partendo dal config 2.6.13 di Patrick, sono iniziati i problemi che avete anche voi. Anche io ho compilato come moduli la sezione ACPI e mi dà gli stessi errori...
Credevo di essere una "zuppa" io, invece, almeno stavolta, non è proprio newbbiaggine mia...

Allora,
proprio ora ho finito di ricompilare il kernel 2.6.13.3: in fase di compilazione ho escluso apm ed incluso acpi, compilando staticamente le voci relative a button, fan, video, processor e thermal_zone. Al riavvio è ritornata l'icona dell'indicatore batterie, configurabile tramite KLaptop. Ora nell'ultimo pannello, alcune voci sono disabilitate: "abilità stanby", "abilita sospensione", "abilita letargo", "abilita profili prestazioni" e "abilita limitazioni cpu". E' scritto che si dovrebbe rendere scrivibile da tutti il file /proc/acpi/spleep. Però questo file nel nuovo kernel non esiste può in quanto in fase di compilazione è stato indicato deprecato. Alternativa rendere set-uid root l'applicazione ausiliaria acpi di kde.
Non mi va affatto di rendere set-uid root un'applicazione, per motivi di sicurezza, in che altro modo è possibile procedere?

non so che dire... ma il bareacpi 2.4.x l'hai provato??? quello va per forza: se non funziona niente allora è un problema di compatibilità con l'hardware/bios....

ad ogni modo: il pulsantino funziona perchè il demone acpid è in funzione ed è stato preprogrammato per "reagire" alla pressione del pulsante suddetto! (magari lancia init 0)

inoltre l'ACPI non fa solo questo... ad ogni modo se il pulsante funziona vuol dire che l'acpi in parte funziona perchè ha rilevato il dispositivo.... per quanto riguarda gli errori non ne sono certo, ma uno lo ricevo anche io e come descritto qui:

è un problemas della tabella dsdt...

prova ad aggiungere un kernel "di riserva" tipo il 2.4 bareacpi e controlla se fa le stesse cose!

infino... se usi un 2.6 dovrebbe esistere una directory in /sys relativa al processore ed al sistema di frequency scaling... puoi gestire (e verificare il funzionamento dell'ACPI) i governor prendendo spunto da questi script:

NB: credo di parlare a nome degli autori dicendo che gli script sono pubblicati "AS IS" senza garanzie: chi rompe paga (cioè tu :))
