Ho il piacere di annunciare il nuovo concorso Slacky.eu legato come al solito al cofanetto della Slackware 13.1 in formato CD SET. Questo è il premio che si aggiudicherà il primo classificato del settimo concorso di questa stupenda community. Questa volta abbiamo voluto legare lo spirito di divulgazione delle informazioni che ci contraddistingue con uno strumento multimediale che ha la capacità di raggiungere in modo facile e veloce tutti gli utenti del web... YouTube. L'iscrizione al forum è l'unico vincolo per partecipare al concorso. Gli utenti in regola con l'iscrizione ci dovranno inviare entro e non oltre il 15 Agosto all'indirizzo email This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it uno screencast fatto con il loro programma preferito, della durata di massimo 5 - 7 minuti in uno dei formati accettati da YouTube in cui descrivono l'aspetto della loro Slackware 13.1, oppure in cui spiegano come fare una determinata cosa con Slackware 13.1, oppure ancora, in cui espongono un breve howto del loro programma preferito. Ora al lavoro, potete inviare subito il materiale. Sarà nostra cure inserire tutti i video in una categoria apposita. Dal 16 Agosto e per due settimane i video saranno visibili a tutti, si decreterà il vincitore in base al numero delle visualizzazioni. |
| Slackware 13.1 is released! |

That's right, another stable release of Slackware is finally ready to go. Slackware 13.1 is available in both 32-bit x86 and 64-bit x86_64 editions, and brings with it many major improvements, like KDE SC version 4.4.3, the 2.6.33.4 Linux kernel, a new toolchain, updated libraries, and major applications such as Firefox and Thunderbird. More details may by found in the official announcement and in the release notes. For a complete list of included packages, see the package list. Please consider supporting the Slackware project by picking up a copy of the Slackware 13.1 release from the Slackware Store. The discs are off to replication, but we're accepting pre-orders for the official 6 CD set and the DVD. The CD set is the 32-bit x86 release, while the DVD is a special edition dual-sided disc with the 32-bit x86 release on one side and the 64-bit x86_64 release on the other. And, we still have T-shirts and other Slackware stuff there, so have a look around. Thanks to our subscribers and supporters for keeping Slackware going all these years.
