Blank monitor all'avvio di KDM.
Salve ragazzi,
ho un problema con un vecchio Sony vaio sul quale da tempo uso
Slackware. Talvolta, terminato il boot, al momento di avvio di KDM lo
schermo si oscura e devo spegnere "brutalmente" la macchina.
Qualcuno ha una vaga idea di come si può risolvere la cosa? Uso un
kernel 2.6.33.4-smp su Slackware 13.1.
Ringrazio fin da ora chi volesse aiutarmi. Ciao.

Che scheda video hai?
Comunque, in genere non c'è bisogno di spegnere il computer in casi simili:
basta passare ad una console (ctrl+alt+f6 ad esempio), effettuare il login e
dare startx...

ho avuto il tuo stesso problema con un vaio (potrei scommettere che hai una scheda grafica intel): il display viene erroneamente visto come disconnesso.
ricompilarti il kernel con questa patch dovrebbe sistemare le cose anche per te.

ricompilarti il kernel con questa patch dovrebbe sistemare le cose anche per te.
perché a me dopo aver smanettato e ricompilato tutto il comparto video in modo statico, non mi da più il problema, anche se ora me lo da nel vecchio kernel (che prima andava, grrrrr)
in effetti che acpi influisca su tutto potrebbe essere
ma la patch vedo che è del 2009, hanno lasciato così tutti questi mesi?

La scheda grafica è una Radeon Mobility 9200 AGP. Aschenaz, quando si oscura lo schermo rimangono oscurate anche le console virtuali. "xorg.conf" non configurato.
