Forse così l'adattatore riesce a "digerirlo".

AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!

http://www.jmicron.com/Product_JM20337.htm
Bisognerebbe identificatore l'esatto modello presente nell'adattatore.

http://www.jmicron.com/PDF/JM20338/JM20337.pdf
Signal Bit Rate 1.5 Gbps/SATA and 480
Mbps/USB
Mi sa che è peggio del previsto......
Piove sul bagnato:
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/wiki/USB_SATA_JM20337

Modello esatto dell' hdd?

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 152d:2338 JMicron Technology Corp. / JMicron USA Technology Corp. JM20337 Hi-Speed USB to SATA & PATA Combo Bridge

http://support.wdc.com/images/kb/ssc_desktop.jpg

- e prova a settare la velocità come descritto - ultima figura in basso: "jumper on pins 5-6" ... mi sembra.

Ciao

Quegli errori non mi piacciono. Secondo me, se puoi, faresti bene a farti sostituire l'hard disk.
