Kde lento?
Kde4 è più veloce del 3,eppure
può apparire lento,il motivo è semplice:BUGS
1°Bug=I processi di kde non muoiono mai
aprite konqueror a ripetizione(aprite,navigate
,chiudetelo),noterete che la memoria sale
e quindi rallenta l'os...perchè?
Perchè a causa di un bug(segnalato e risolto
SOLO in kde 4.2)le istanze di konqueror,kio_http
e nspluginviewer restano in background,occupando
parecchia ram..
2°Bug=Questa volta non è colpa di kde,ma di certi
produttori di schede che anzichè rilasciare le specifiche
fanno drivers chiusi e scadenti...
ogni riferimento a nvidia è puramente voluto.
In parole povere kde 4.1 ha un 2d sotto nvidia
penoso,da un senso di pesantezza dell'os che invece
è dovuto agli squallidi drivers...
Soluzioni TEMPORANEE
1°Bug=eseguite questo comando quando vedete la ram
satura killall -9 konqueror kio_http nspluginviewer
2°Bug=eseguite questo comando(attenzione perchè
rallenta lo scrolling di konqueror
nvidia-settings -a InitialPixmapPlacement=2 -a GlyphCache=1

azzzarola, upgradando alla current ora non mi parte piu' linuz, mi dice che non riesce a montare / , come facciO?? ho reinstallato device-mapper e2fsprogs lvm e xfsprogs originali ma non e' cambiato niente. aiuto! non posso usare Windows!

sono usciti i nuovi driver nvidia.
dal changelog, tra le altre cose:

la versione di pat di kde4 viene attualmente compilata con un set di dipendenze completo, o con un sottoinsieme minimale?

mh probabilmente mi mancavano pacchetti ora funziona tutto e sembra tutto piu' fluido, anche la schermata di logout che prima tardava un po' ad apparire
