Compilazione kernel 2.6.11.10

ok sono ufficialmente sfiduciato ... dopo aver rivoltato come un
 calzino tutto la rete con l´aiuto di zio GooGle e aver compilato 7
 volte il kernel all´ennesimo riavvio a schermo nero ho deciso di
 chiedere il vostro aiuto ... per capire come diamine va compilato sto
 kernel.

Dopo che l´ho compilato con 
 
 root@smartolo:/usr/local/src/linux# make xconfig 
 
 ed ho salvato tutte le scelte fatte .... faccio 
 
 root@smartolo:/usr/local/src/linux# make bzImage 
 root@smartolo:/usr/local/src/linux# make modules 
 root@smartolo:/usr/local/src/linux# make modules_install 
 
 cp ./arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/ 
 mv /boot/bzImage /boot/kernel-1 
 
 vi /etc/lilo.conf 
 
 e inserisco in lilo 
 
 image = /boot/kernel-1 
 root = /dev/hda4 
 label = Linux-kernel-1 
 read-only 
 
 e alla fine digito 
 
 root@smartolo:/boot# lilo

Schermata nera non vuol dire niente. Parti in init:3 o in init:4. Se parti da init:3 puo essere che in fase di config tu non vada ad abilitare gli fb giusti per la console. Hai provato a gigitare utente (root!) e password e scrivere "startx"? Ti consiglio comunque di partire dal .config di Pat, e procedere PASSO PASSO alle modifiche. Occhio che nella tua procedura manca la copia del file System.map. Ciao, Touch.

aggiungo che dovresti avere problemi coi controller usb via a cui non vengono assegnati gli irq 
 per cui come dice il dmesg prova a passare nell´append di lilo 
 pci=biosirq 
 oppure anche 
 pci=routeirq 
 e vedi se gli errori se ne vanno

nota ora che hai i sorgenti in un punto non convenzionale 
 per cui 
 /usr/local/src/linux/.config 
 ti consiglierei di installare i sorgenti del kernel in 
 /usr/src , che è ´uso e consuetudine´...

il frame buffer è a posto ... riesco a lavorare in testuale ma se
 lancio STARTX mi dice che non trova alcuno schermo ed e torna in
 testuale e poi mi da come FATAL anche che non viene caricato l´nvidia
 ...

ok sto cercando contemporaneamente di mettere a posto il problema che
 non vede lo schermo ... e mettere a posto i drivers audio ... nella
 ricompilazione ho tolto sia gli ALSA che OSS ... per poi installare i
 drivers scaricati dal sito ... ho fatto bene ... o era meglio caricarli
 ?
